As you can see, Alabama or South Carolina looks to be one of the first teams out here if the ACC puts two teams in the playoff and Indiana wins next week. If Syracuse beats Miami, however, that puts Clemson in the ACC Championship Game against SMU. And at the point, Gamecocks fans would be rooting for the Mustangs to get the ACC's lone bid unless the selection committee invites the Hurricanes (10-2).

Yes, Alabama holds the head-to-head win over South Carolina, but that was a two-point game six weeks ago. Are the two teams playing the same right now? There's an easy answer to that question. Tennessee likely isn't losing to Vanderbilt, but that would certainly benefit the Gamecocks and South Carolina would get the nod over a nine-win Vols squad that lost in their final matchup — especially since South Carolina pasted the Commodores on the road.
Next week, South Carolina fans should be rooting for Vanderbilt, Syracuse and Purdue. And Georgia Tech upsetting Georgia certainly wouldn't hurt.

Listening to the talking heads over the last couple of days, Ole Miss seems to be a bigger hurdle for us than Alabama. Most reference how that 24 point loss to them can't be ignored. I fear they're right. We have to hope Miss State plays out of their minds & at minimum makes it a tight game & we need to stomp that school upstate by 17 points or more.

In addition to Carolina, I'll be pulling for Vandy over Tenn, Texas over A&M, and Auburn over Bama. If Bama loses, I don't care how much of a blue blood they are, taking them over us would be criminal.

Bama has three losses, two to unranked teams, they aren't getting in over anyone at this point.
