It’s been a fun year so far. Watching double digit wins and a bunch of HRs is always fun. The Clem series still concerns me a little. They’re not good at all. Just walked off Ga St last night to pull a win out of their asses. They handled us game one. Beating a bad team 11-9 isn’t great. Better than a loss, but still somewhat concerning. We handled them as we should on Sunday. Had the Friday game been more competitive, I wouldn’t be as concerned. Other than a couple of HRs Saturday I thought we played poorly.
In the Clem series, pitching was our downfall on Friday and we got behind early (that happens when a pitcher has a bad night) and their pitcher had a good night. Saturday was a little bit pitching and some poor defense. I think our pitching and defense has shown improvement since that series. I do like the way we are putting the bat on the ball and the bottom of the order is performing better at the plate.
