Listened to an interview with Syvelle yesterday and he said he considers Garcia the GOAT here. Have never heard that suggested.

His potential was off the charts. If he was as dedicated to being the best as he was to enjoying college, he certainly could have been. As it was, he left too much on the table to be called the GOAT. That said, I enjoyed watching him play. Hard-nosed and tough. He is by far one of my favorites to play here.

I get he was surrounded with great talent, but I can’t figure out how Shaw wouldn’t be considered the best. May not have had the mot talent, but had the intangibles and leadership that lead to the best seasons we have ever had.

No way I would agree with that assessment. He had the potential to be but he valued partying, and having a good time too much. As a result, Garcia wasted the opportunity to be dedicated enough to the game. Had he had the dedication and work ethic of Connor Shaw his career and our program could have achieved a great deal more.

Just to be clear: He wants to call Garcia the Greatest Of All Time.

Shaw in my opinion. I think he had the best ride here of any other QB. He also had Spurrier and SEC caliber receivers and RBs to take the ball.

Garcie was just got into too much trouble keying professors cars and all. He spent some stints at Alvin S Glen Jail.
