The way it is being implemented IS very bad. What NIL is is nothing like what it was envisioned. It is pay for play, pure and simple and programs not named Texas and Texas A&M are at a huge disadvantage.

You are missing the point/sarcasm of my post.
If it's Texas/TAMU, or SMU it's considered bad, but now if it's for us then posters say it's good.
You can't have it both ways.

Just curious, are there other groups handling NIL for Gamecock athletes? Is Garnet Trust the only source of NIL income for Gamecock players? Can’t a business make a deal directly with a player in addition to Garnet Trust and others?

There are certainly other sources. Businesses can definitely do deals directly with players. Garnet Trust contracts athletes directly for content, promotions, events, etc.

Businesses that need help in ways - whether that's being compliant, content, connections, can also work through Garnet Trust for that.
