Tough ending for Utah. But give the Gators credit - they made the play when they had to.

Why I love college football more than the NFL? Appalachian State. That was an enthralling and exciting a finish that I have seen - and this weekend had a number of close endings (see Utah/Florida). Every time App State plays a P5 program it’s going to be a good game.

Not sure what Cristobal left in the cupboard, but Oregon looked completely lost against UGA.

Rutgers pulled it out - good on them. But BC is just not that good.

Wondering if Casiah Holmes will see the field for F$U tonight.

Nebraska really struggled against a D-1AA Opponent. The final score was not indicative of how close that game was.

Dear God, Iowa - really? Keep this up and those kids in the hospital will respond to your wave with the middle finger.

Delaware beats Navy. Only D-1AA team to beat a D1 team this week. How is it Navy only scores 7 points? And they only threw 3 passes? Shouldn't they have thrown more to see if they could score more?

Cincniatti’s Boy Wonder coach is 0-2 in his last two games. Just sayin.

Ricky Rahne 1. Brent Pry 0. In the Franklin Cup.

Glad that CFB is back.

It’s hard to get a true read on how good many teams are, because week one is usually beat up on tomato can day. However unless Oregon fell off a cliff from a talent perspective, what Georgia did to them was really impressive. They were more dominant than Bama was. So I guess the old saying is wrong, money 💰 CAN buy you happiness. Conversely however, the Texas AM’s aggies boosters were unable to pay enough for the clear weather without lightening strikes delaying their game.

- Holmes can't play for FSU this year bc of late transfer
- Cain will be lead back as Emery suspended. Hope he does well but LSU/Kelly lose
- Sure looked to me that FL mugged the TE in the end zone on final play. ESPN would not even look at it.
- I watched a little of Syracuse-Louisville and Cuse looked great on D. Sean Tucker is a beast RB who I would love on PSU. Fast, strong and can catch

Al Golden's defensive game plan against OSU was something others will try to copy.
Another absolutely ridiculous incredible impossible catch kept Notre Dame in a football game they had no right to be in....how many times has that happened over the years.

Well, oregon's new HC was DC at BGeorgia last year, so that didn't help (apparently).

Oregon's 5 star QB was a DNP (not sure if he's hurt, ineligible, in the portal, or actually was beaten out by... Bo Nix. Bo Nix... seriously? [If Nix were a several year starter at oregon I would feel different, but he's a good QB transfer and not much more. Understandable they protected Thomspon... too early and he's a deer in the headlights... play him late and he could get mangled, so they kept Nix in the whole way.] Nix went 21-37 for 173 and 2 ints. Against us last year he was 21-37 for 185 (no ints). Just can't see him being "the guy."

Oregon's 2 superstar RB's are gone and the replacements are good but nowhere near the caliber.

But... Georgia was just light years better. A bevy of superstar recruits (they were doing just fine even before the $$$ train got put into motion... now they're going to be that much better) playing in a system that works... recipe for domination.

Only thing that sidetracks this locomotive is the money itself (money does things to most, and young kids awash in cash can find it a difficult situation) or injuries. Georgia deserves the props... oregon might be a top 20 team... but 11? Not zacly.

only Iowa staff has enough patience to win a game like that. most would lose patience and self destruct.

OSU DC looks like an improvement for them. players do not look that much better. their offense really took a hit by losing the top WR. they are not quite as deep there as in the past. If you have a solid DL you can cause them some trouble on run game. Golden def plan has been used before on them but you have to be able to stuff their run with front 7 if you do that. I think someone in the BIG might beat them.

UGA is dominant - Bama v UGA again for NC. These two are in another solar system from the rest of CFB.

looking at our opponents in the league, UMich was impressive but got to look at who they were playing.

USC looks to be coming back - just in time for BIG entry in a few years.

East Carolina - NC State. EC FG kicker misses an extra point to tie, a few minutes later, by a miracle, East Carolina gets themselves in position to win with a short FG. Kicker misses again. Unbelievable

Noah Cain last night: 7 rushes, 23 yards. LSU loses. Kelly already on the hot seat.

I thought Kelly was remarkably calm last night. He didn’t wildly scream at or try strangle any of his players during the game. But then again if a bunch of idiots just gave me a hundred million dollar contact I probably wouldn’t give a sh@t either.

Kelly screwed LSU by not going for 2pts. They had ALL the momentum having just driven 99 yds. And their special team had already had a FG blocked so the extra pt wasn’t the automatic kick.

Have some big-time balls coach!

Anyone see Ewers play for Texas? He had good numbers against a cupcake. Alabama is next for UT.
