There is no reason for him to come here.

Even with him, it's highly doubtful we're a tournament team. We'll be a one-horse team. And then he's gone after one season. He can go to Duke or UNC, be surrounded by other talented players, have great media coverage, make the tournament and probably a fairly deep tournament run.

So what's the upside to coming here? Coming here does nothing but hurt his status.

Coach K is gone, UNC is ok but neither are what they used to be in terms of any attention and the attention will drop once K is out. He has every reason to come here and the media attention will come if he proves to be as good as projected. That's a silly assertion honestly. Every game is on TV in some form or fashion. Anthony Edwards got plenty of attention at UGA on a terrible team in a terrible basketball market...

Duke and UNC will always get more coverage than us. Always.

Nevertheless, coverage/exposure is only small piece of the overall equation. We just aren't good. Even on their down years, Duke and UNC are far ahead of us.

I just hope GG doesn't come here b/c it merely prolongs the inevitable. He's a short-term fix to a long-term problem. Even with him, we're far from being a sure thing for the tournament. Then what in 2023-2024? Back to where we've been the last 5 years.

If there was any hope that Frank could parlay GG's successful recruitment into landing more talented players, I might feel differently. But we saw what he did with Sindarius, P.J. and the FF run. Diddly.

What is the latest news on GG Jackson? Anyone got the scoop?
Ya'll realize he's only a junior. Even if he commits, there likely only a 50/50 chance he plays for us and if he does, it will only be one year.

He may reclassify to the 2022 class. Word is, if he does, it's either us or the G-League.

If he stays in the 2023 class, it's more up in the air.

But, yes, either way he's only here a year, so he's not a solution. Again, if I had any confidence Frank could use GG as a springboard to bringing in other recruits, then I might feel differently. But he can't.

I agree. While most teams in any sport love their players and coaches, the successful also maintain some sense of scrutiny and expectation we simply don't seem capable of producing.

Do you really believe the non sense you just said? Duke and UNC will be blue bloods and command most any kid they want for the next foreseeable future.
