Chase Young still not playing; should be ready next week.Washington playing well, 3-0 lead. The Commanders are a decent team, the 1 in 13-1.
That #5 Thibodeaux is having quite the performance.Fumbles on your own 2 yard line are never a good thing.
Yeah, you must have seen the stat line I saw. He’s been a wrecking ball tonight. That #5 Thibodeaux is having quite the performance.
I think the Commanders should have changed their colors when the adopted the new name. Those colors are offensive to people because they are reminiscent of the R*dsk*ns.
We can quibble about this until the cows come home (many of my cousins remain upset about the name change; I am fourth-generation DMV and like me my cousins are all lifetime Washington fans), but I’ve put it behind me.I’m just stunned this is the best they could do. It just feels so generic. So many of the fan created logos/uniforms were light years better than this. I’ll add there should be some way to have a Native American mascot/logo without being offensive. Redskins logo/color scheme was tremendous - but name was awful.
He just put the team on his back on that final drive.Three great back to back to back runs by SB!
14-3 just before the half. I’m not giving up the ghost but I’m not staying up until 11 just to see the Commanders lose. Good night!
It was pretty brutal. But the Commanders would still have had to make the two point conversion.LJ, hope your blood pressure meds are handy. One of the worst non-calls I’ve seen this year just cost Wash the game.
There has been a lot of bad football this year, that Ravens/Browns game was brutal to watch. However the Bills/Miami game was the best I've seen this year. But yea a lot of bad QB's.That was some bad football from two teams in desperate need of NFL-level QB play.
Where does Washington go now? Back to Wentz? It’s going to be hard for Rivera to stick in that job.
Snyder is selling the team and they won’t sniff a decent QB on the NFL retread pile like they’ve been trying.
+1. Thats the other thing I've noticed, especially this year, is officiating is really bad across the board. It seems, at least to me, that the consistency in the penalties (especially roughing the QB and Pass interference) are wildly inconsistent. And I have no allegiance to any team except for maybe The Steelers.WOW - Redskins scalped by official’s non-call (OBVIOUSLY BLATANT PASS INT IN THE END ZONE)!
It would have been fun to see them get the chance though. I also thought the illegal formation call when they scored was soft (see how often the "ends" are similarly off the LOS on most plays). But otherwise an entertaining game. I was rooting for the consecutive 20 - 20 tie.It was pretty brutal. But the Commanders would still have had to make the two point conversion.
Enjoy the W. It was nice to see the Giants and Washington play an important game so late in the season. The Giants made a great drive for their second touchdown, 98 yards, that was the difference.I have been a Giants fan since i was a kid. Glad that Dotson made some SENSATIONAL catches and when it was crunch time Barkley was great. HOWEVER, the Giants got breaks on 2 lousy calls at the end. The tv officiating analyst said that the first call-illegal formation should not have been made. The last NONCall on Pass interference was lousy-the receiver was just about mugged. The tv officiating analyst says that was clear pass interference in the first and LAST minute of the game-call should be made the same.
Redskins have a lot of talented guys-but missing Chase Young is a big deal. The Chase Young I saw play for Ohio State was sensational-hope he comes back. RB Robinson for Commanders is 1 tough runner-Giants got a break when Samuels ran the ball.
Interesting game and breakout for #5 on Giants-teams will have to block differently to account for him, he looked that good. Sad that it had to end on a bad officating note. In the favor of the Giants but hate to see a team win that way,
