Serious question - how far into the postseason are they? I literally haven’t watched a single at-bat all year. I tried, but I just couldn’t muster the interest.

The League Championship Series started last night for the National League (Phillies Won Game 1) and American League starts today with Yankees and Astros

Torn on this one. My gf and family and many friends are Yankee fans. Daughter and son-in-law are Astros fans from their time spent in Houston when they first met.

I've always despised the Yanks so will have to silently support the Astros. However, it would be fun to see a Phillies-Yanks WS....battle lines drawn somewhere in Central NJ.

The Astros are cheaters and I have ZERO respect for them. Which tells you all you need to know about how I feel about the Yankees.

The Yankees are like Ahia State for me. God, I wish the Guardians could have won one of those last two games.
God bless the Yankees. Great win last night. May not make it happen tonight but they will . I hope.

Really, F the Astros. F’n cheaters, no respect for the game, for the fans. What made the Nationals’ WS win even more sweet was their beating those f’n frauds.

Misunderstanding?

That's easy for us original Northeasterners with connections to NYC.

Giants, Knicks (who or what the heck are the Nets? :)) and Rangers.
You still root for the Knicks after all these years? God bless you.

That being said, the Warriors sucked - hard - for YEARS. Remember Latrell Sprewell choking out P.J. Carlesimo? So there may yet be hope for the Knicks.

Linsanity man.

Since then, it’s been tough but I grew up with Bill Bradley, Willis Reed, Bernard King, Patrick Ewing, Clyde the Glide Frazier. I patterned my street game after Earl the original Pearl Monroe.

Are you saying there’s hope for us Pirates fans too?

So, how is it that Yankees fans can complain about cheating when they rostered guys named Pettite, Clemens, ARod, Giambi, Canseco, etc? Cheating is cheating.

This is a sinkhole matchup, much like the ND/OSU game was. If there was a higher power, it would have opened up the ground and swallowed both teams.

Now they have Draymond Green punching out teammates. They still suck - hard. They just win. I only mildly root for the Celtics, but I want them to roster some felon beast for one game .. insert him into the game early and just have him sucker punch Draymond into another universe, never to be seen again. And then just take the felon back to jail.

It’s looking like a Phillies vs. Astro’s World Series. By August I knew the Astros were the best team in the American League. But never did I think the Phillies were the best team in the national league. Now, I think the Phillies could go all the way!!

The Yankees don't resemble the team they were early in the year.

Pitchers King, Green, Marinsccio, and Chapman out with injuries.

Position players Lemehieu, Benintendi are .300 hitters out with injuries.

Verlander and Valdez are tough. The Yankees face an uphill battle without so many key players.

The Phillies look and are playing like the most complete team in MLB.

Bader was just the batter for the Yankees; he hung his body over the plate and the next 2 pitches were in the strike zone...he acted as if they both almost hit him (which is true), but they were certainly NOT inside from a strikezone perspective. I suppose some will say it is gamesmanship? His smug smirk on his way to first projected "haha, got you"...may not be an infraction, but very cheap imho. 🤷‍♂️

Joke is now on him; he just got thrown out attempting to steal second...poetic justice?

That’s on the idiot behind the plate losing his zone based on where the batter was set up. Personally, I love when a batter tries to crowd the plate so I can ring him up on a ball on the inside edge that he goes flailing out of the way for. Unfortunately, not a lot of HS pitchers have good enough control to find that spot.

Imagine next year with Harper's BFF Trea Turner.

Also just have a feeling Stott is going to turn into Utley II. That may be stretching but he has crazy skill once he figured things our.

His defense is also way better than expected just like Utley.

Turner would be great, but I still think they need another starting pitcher. I agree on Stott. The kid plays hard and there’s no substitute for effort.

I’ll throw a wild possibility at you. It doesn’t look like the Yankees and Judge are close to a deal. How would he look batting 4th behind Harper?

The issue with that is that the expected price tag is projected at about $320 million for Judge. So, realistically, that leaves only 3-4 teams with the capital to sign him. The Phillies do currently have the fourth highest payroll in the MLB, but would they break the bank for another big name player?
