Was playing on a franchise tag so will be a free agent unless the Bucs do him a solid and franchise him for a second year while he rehabs. Sucks.

C. Collingsworth statements with Godwin on the ground were angst ridden. He said something along the lines of a WR would probably rather take a head shot than risk a career ending knee injury due to loss of speed. You could sense his feelings for Godwin. Maybe the only time I was a CC fan.

How Aaron Harris's career ended shoulder on the knee cap. You can thin out a WR and RB room quickly attacking the knee from the front or side, Collingsworth knew it too.

I was listening to larry Fitzgerald last night on Sirius/XM. He said the exact same thing. He wanted to be hit high and/or in the head versus the knee. He said he told DBs that he'd pay their fines for the high hit(s)

No doubt, it's a violent game. You have 2 grown men who are athletic freaks moving in different directions colliding. There are similar hits every week and that didn't have a flag tossed for a reason, it was legal. You cannot tell the DB's they cannot hit high and then also penalize them when they go low. You see WR's and offensive players diving low for blocks too....and it sucks when anyone gets injured due to it.

Hated to see it. Loved him at PSU and as a Tampa resident was really enjoying the amazing year he was having. Huge loss for the Bucs.
