When others begin to take notice of something positive, that's generally been our cue to crap the bed. LSU will probably score 40+ on us now.![]()

LSU might also be overrated. I know their coach is.This is the fear, right? This stuff from the press is what Nick Saban called rat poison.
I'm very tentative right now. Loved the win over UK. However, I think it's readily apparent they were highly overrated after their win over a terrible Southern Miss team. So I'm just not sure what the UK win means in terms of our outlook for the rest of the season. It was a game we absolutely had to have if we hoped to get bowl eligible, but what does it mean in terms of our ability to compete with higher caliber teams? As bad as UK looked, maybe not much.
Like you, far too many times I've seen us finally get some kudos from the media and it has almost inevitably been followed up by us falling flat on our faces.

I don't think Kelly is a national championship caliber coach but he is pretty good. He won 10 games both of his first two seasons at LSU and has an overall career record of 284-104-2 so he isn't a bad coach. He tied for #1 in the West in 2022 and was 2nd in the West last year.LSU might also be overrated. I know their coach is.
I didn't say he was "bad", I think he's overrated. His last two stops have been with football powerhouses.I don't think Kelly is a national championship caliber coach but he is pretty good. Rewatched the UK game today. I'm a little tentative too. We got a lot of breaks that we usually don't. Sellers coughed it up three times and we recovered all three. Lose one or two of those could've turned the momentum. Our passing game benefitted from blown coverage more than once. Vandagriff was horrible. Stoops went on 4th on his own 30, but then settled for 3 twice. I guess his confidence in his offense waned as the game transpired. I noticed our kickoff coverage team needs to practice tackling. I am a believer in the defense, though. This is the fear, right? This stuff from the press is what Nick Saban called rat poison.

Definitely a lot of good fortune. Seemed most things went our way, which is exceedingly rare and I don't feel bad about it, but can't count on that every game.Rewatched the UK game today.
