.370 with 1.055 OPS and 9 bombs. I’ll sure take it. Assuming this is Yeager’s replacement?

Yes. But ideally bats leadoff with his low K rate. I assume we are comfortable he isn’t going pro

With these stats in JUCO…why in the world were we not after him then? Good gracious.

Don’t know. But if he ended up at UNO we obviously weren’t the only ones who overlooked him. Not sure where he would have fit in the 2022 lineup, honestly. We weren’t short on infielders….maybe he could have taken Hancock’s spot but who knows what that .370 looks like against SEC pitching. Yeager and Sonny Dichara obviously had little trouble. Maybe he will be similar.

He ended up at New Orleans so obviously no one was after him. But we also got Yeager.

What is the Southland competition like?

Also, what position in infielder? Does that typically just mean short or second? I'm assuming he didn't play all 1st, 2nd, Short, and 3rd. Or is that UNO athletics being really lazy and onlly putting C, P, INF, and OUT for their positions?

Exact type of transfer we need, and will actually get. Those guys coming up from G5 who aren't demanding starting spots/NIL/etc. So we've got 2 guys on the infield and 1 guy in the outfield and 1 pitcher with a rubber arm. We've got a pretty good track record with these guys thus far.

We are fine next year. Yes we will likely add a few more pitchers for depth, but I think we're already in pretty good shape.

He's a 2nd baseman. He did really well versus some quality teams (.364 batting average against the teams below)

Damn. That's a lot better than I was expecting. Definitely looks like a good pick up for Lemonis.

Don’t think we are done. Seem to be heavily pursuing a reliever from Texas and two guys from Mercer (one sidearm pitcher and one outfielder, both with great stats in 2022).

You can rebuild a team real quick via the transfer portal, look no further than A&M and Auburn going from bottom of the West in ‘21 to Omaha in ‘22.

Not for us. HailStateBB is the baseball Twitter account. Basketball uses HailStateMBK and HailStateWBK.

They put an 'M' in front of 'BK' for their Men's Basketball Twitter?!??!?

Nelle has her hands in everything.*

Isn't a new concept, just a matter of where you get the players. 2015/2016.

That's the thing, everybody getting all bent out of shape over a very few transfers that are out looking for NIL, when there are literally TONS of available baseball players out there.

Coaching is still a huge amount of college baseball, at least the decision-making/managing part. Development is largely on the players themselves.

There are fewer football and basketball players, so talent/recruiting is a much bigger deal in those sports.
