tickets today....same seats as last year, despite a slip in BC ranking.

Do they just reseat you if you move to different "level" of membership? Or is it a massive reseating every year.

I understand that they are not going to reseat the entire hump every year. Or least that's what I heard. I wonder if the football stadium is the same way.

You raise an interesting issue. I also dropped some in BC rank - kept the same seats but was moved back a little in parking. With the club level sold out last year and this year and with other high dollar seats sold out as well can there be a reseating coming in football? Doesn't the same rationale used to justify basketball reseating also apply to football?

I really think they are just lazy.

I moved way up in standing this year. I inquired about moving to a section comperable to my old section. They gave me detailed instructions on how to request a move. Got my tickets and they are the same seats I had last year.

year before, they started pricing sections in the stadium based on your annual BC contribution. That really doesn't correlate 100% to bulldog club ranking.

So, it appears to me that they would almost have to move you to a new section based on this year's contribution. But, then your BC rank decides where you sit within that section and how many tickets you get....I just doubt there is a massive reseating every year. It looks like they don't reseat everyone -- it looks like you stay where you are as long as your giving keeps you in a particular section and doesn't cast you down or move you up. And the newcomers get reseated based on their priority. That appears to me the way it happens. Maybe. </p>

I doubled my ticket order and my donation and got moved 25 rows lower despite requesting the same row or higher.

I'm really considering going upper deck next year. I'd rather be that high than be too low - and its a lot cheaper to boot.

just can't be that bad. I just wouldn't like that "falling off the earth" feeling that I would think I would have up there.

I have never been up there. But, I have to think the view just isn't that bad.

I don't know what doubling your ticket order means in terms of numbers. However, it might have been a problem, given all the people who were staying put in your section to keep you in that same section (if you doubled your ticket count and doubled your contribution, your contribution per seat was the same and kept you in the same section) AND get all your tickets together. Maybe they were presumptuous about you wanting all your tickets together, too.

I'd say that would be a great idea. My family has tickets up there, and when I'm not sitting in the student section with some friends I'll sit with them. It's an excellent view, and the only knock of it is you can't really hear the band... But surely them moving to the endzone will fix that. But yes... when I was a kid they moved us all around the west side seating... One year we'd be on the 10 yard line and the next we'd be on the 40, and in the new upperdeck, there's really not a terrible seat that I've seen.

My family has had seats in the upper deck for several years. They are the best seats in the house! I will agree with the DawgAtUSM that one disadvantage was we never could hear the band, but this year the band will be sitting in the endzone seats. Should make the upper deck seats a super bargain!!!

Uh...wrong.

seating that the view isn't that bad, and actually you can see everything very well as far as the plays. I will say that sitting lower is awesome because you're closer to the action, no doubt about it.

Very good view from up there. When Fogglesong was doing his impressive flyovers you felt like you could reach out and touch him.

middle of the field excluding the President's box with the windows open. Never sat there. But, I am quite certain. I know....often wrong and never in doubt. But, I am pretty sure that's better than the upper deck.

I said from the start that I can't see the upper deck in the middle being bad seats at all. But, there are clearly better seats in the stadium all over the damn place. Take the 100 and 200 level on the East side. Those are great seats. Upper deck gets you a wet *** in the rain. 100 and 200 level (well most of the 100 level) earns you a dry *** in the rain. Club level -- the sun can be brutal. But, you have an elevated position closer to the field, with booze and drinks, and AC, and dry ***.

Our seats are 48 yard line, alumni side, lower section under the overhang. Sun behind us, in the shade, no rain hitting us, high enough to see everything, perfect view. The upper deck ain't bad, but I wouldn't trade my seats for yours. Unless they start offering Oriental Sensual Massage in the Club Level I'm not going anywhere.

1. you don't meet the minimum donation requirement to remain in your section.
2. seats come open from someone that doesn't renew their tickets at all.

Very few people move seats under the current structure. Any plans for football re-seating have not been established at this point, but I'm confident that fund drive is inevitable eventually.
