Nominate | Report
Posted: Today 6:14 PM

Grow Up People Please
_________________________________________________
Most of ya'll sound like kids that have won something over someone else and are gloating about it. Coach Polk served us well, and now you can tell who were the real disloyal Dawgs. All of this "well, I didn't like him anyway" or "Why did we ever let this man coach our team again after Georgia" is ridiculous. None of you came out and said that when we were winning. I don't know if promises were made to Raffo. I think for him to stay as long as he did and not really pursue anything else indicates to me that he felt comfortable. I think Polk didn't know what to expect from this new administration. GB is not a bulldog and I believe will be gone in approximately 10 years if some of you allow him that long. It is regretable that Coach Polk made that statement, but leave him the HE** alone. He built that program and should have been allowed to make recommendations. He knows these two guys and maybe saw qualities in one that he didn't see in the other. Some of ya'll are even gloating that a player is leaving because of Raffo. He is a child. Maybe he didn't mean it but instead of giving him a chance to rethink it - some have pretty much said don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Is KY a lottery state? Do they have 2 other Div I programs in their state. He will have to deal with recruiting between OM, Southern and Delta State. That is a lot of talent to stretch thin.

The calls for the Paint Party are just childish.

"None of you came out and said that when we were winning"

He built that program and should have been allowed to make recommendations
but the guy posting needs to understand the definition of a "recommendation." it has never meant that the person being recommended MUST be hired.

The sheep have gone complete Goatholder over there in the last 2 days. Gene's porn fro is standing on end because he 's not sure who to ban. Wonder if the Swan got a ride on the plane to Jackson with Veasey , Ellis and the other media? It's like thru the looking glass over there. 1st time I've read GP in over a year. The sheep are running in circles bleating and the Swan is standing there, covered in green sheep ****, trying to figure out who the wolf is that has disturbed his docile pasture. Rival rams are embracing each other. The little lambs huddling near the Shepard are being targeted in some kind of cannibalistic , meth fueled orgy. Eyes are being opened there that change can be good. They are seeing how their old demi gods misled them. They are starting to unite. They may not believe all the old company lines Gene hands them now.We can not only survive with out LT, Polk and their ilk, we can shine. The old guard , which has been a major problem at State is on the ropes. Time for the Knockout blow. Me thinks the Swan will not sleep easy for a while.
Polk a pariah on Gene's Page? Who whudda thunk it.

when one little simple molecule starts moving, it inevitably bumps into another. After a while enough particles are moving that something happens completely out of the realm of expected results.

Just think of all the things that COULD happen with a 200 pound angry particle in a cheap polyester uni starts kicking dust in the sheep pen. Even they have to react.

What a sad and sorry melodrama playing out in front of us all.

time last year. Two good weekends over the last six is all I can remember. Mississippi State should host regionals EVERY year. We should host Super Regionals at least every other year. We should compete for CWS births every year. MSU baseball deserves better and better is what we got yesterday.

Let me get this straight. Is he referring to Turner as a child?

It's one thing to refer to 20/21/22 year olds as boys, but to refer to one of them as a child is a stretch. Turner is a big boy. He's old enough to make his own decisions. If he chooses to do something stupid, then he's old enough to be criticized for it.

That has to be a first for me to see someone refer to a college athlete as a child.

....that in his post. If he wants to open that can of worms, then someone needs to point out the fact that Sly Croom isn't a Bulldog, and Rick Stansbury isn't a Bulldog. Neither one of them are from MS and neither played sports at MSU.

to that list as well. I mean why should we let Ron Polk, a non-Bulldog, tell us how to run OUR program. Heck, at one point he quit us anyway only to reemerge as the head coach at Georgia.

.....my initial thought when I read the post, then I forgot to mention Polk. It's just a ridiculous argument to make when we have head coaches in every major sport(including Fanning in women's basketball) who had no Bulldog ties prior to taking jobs at MSU. Hell, right now John Cohen is probably the most legit Bulldog in the entire athletic department, and it was "non-Bulldog" Greg Byrne who hired him.
