..when asked about the first half. "Yeah, it was a nightmare...." Cracked me up, never heard a coach say that.

....did anybody see him when he called the first timeout? Warren had just had his pocket picked and gave up a layup, and he called a timeout. He screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" at Warren, and then he went on an animated rant that include several 17's. At one point, for emphasis, he clearly said "Mother17!"

It was quite entertaining.

it looked like they had vasoline on their hands, super glue on their feet and two men on top of them all the time...

Yeah, I'd call that a nightmare.

That dude is hilarious. When he put his arms out and asked Daveeeed Huertas to "justify his existence" as they came over for a timeout (back during the season) i lost it...

I loved that. That's one thing you have to give the guy. He doesn't use coachspeak, and he doesn't mince words. He tells it like it is and doesn't disguise how he feels.

It's not all that surprising the way we came out and played when you consider the lack of big game experience on our team. None of them had ever played a meaningful postseason game, and it showed. That was the worst half of basketball we played all year, and that includes the first half at UK where we were down 31-14.

Gotta like a guy that is competitive like Kennedy. His competitiveness is why I think he won't stay at Ole Miss. Even though we keep reading about how young Ole Miss was this season, they had 3 senior frontcourt starters. That will be hard to take up the slack for even with a player as good as Warren. </p>

I remain convinced he was an excellent hire. Ole Miss stands a chance of building a decent program with him.

It was funny when asked by, I think it was fat and fatter, on the radio if he'd sign a hot shot player that might only stay one year before moving on to the NBA. AK said "At Ole Miss? Are you kidding? I'd take a kid if he could play a month."

And that's why I say we will likely struggle some next year. We may sneak in to the tourney as a bubble team if we're lucky next year, but more than likely we'll be 3rd or 4th in the West and an NIT team. The year we should be pretty stout is 2009-2010. He's got some young athletic big men on the team right now (Cantinol and White) and is bringing in two more (Holloway and Henry), but those guys will all need a year of experience to be effective. Two years from now we should have a talented and experience group at all positions. The lack of NCAA tourney appearances will also likely mean that AK will at least stick around long enough for another couple years before bolting.

Unless he just loves being close to his hometown, he'll be gone somewhere bigger and better if he has any kind of success at Ole Miss.
