Women’s game on SEC Network. 1st quarter just ended. Started off strong and pissed away a 10 point lead.

I swear this team goes from the Globetrotters to the Generals once the clock shows 2 minutes left.

So is it coaching or lack of effort or bad luck or what, that leads to these long scoring droughts?

That’s just basketball though. It’s a game of runs.
I mean… maybe? But this team has had a trouble maintaining a lead or closing out quarters against anybody with a pulse all season long.

ETA: We scored 2 points in the last 7 minutes of the half. That’s not “just basketball”.

Again no defense. Ole miss shoot shots without someone in their face. Putting a hand up and waving at shooter is NOT defense. And almost every pass we make or drive ole miss has hand on the ball.

It’s the same sнit over and over. We just duck our shoulder and dribble head first into the defender and throw up the ugliest street ball shot imaginable and pray it goes in.

Down 6 with a minute and a half to go.
We have been out hustled and out coached by OM. They seem to want it more.

Why in the wide world of sports did we not foul them in the last minute down by single digits??? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team allowed to stand around to run the clock out unless the team was down an insurmountable amount of points. Even then most teams still play aggressive.

Honestly, I won’t be mad when Cohen calls our cheerleader back home.

Agree and even might shorten it to this, adding ... and back. I don't know what to make of the team and frustrating to watch would be an understatement. We've been a turnover machine all season and often with out reason.
Needless to say, the Yo and Madison Scott antics and full section of powder blue chanting hotty toddy was hard to take but as the saying goes .... don't want them doing that, do something about it.
Thank goodness we won last night.

I'll wish them the best and hope they make the tournament. I'll keep up with them and look over the box scores.

But I can't watch a team that has a clear weakness (ball security) that is losing them games, and seems to have absolutely no will or ability to fix it.

I'm with you. None of them have any idea how to make an entry pass into the post. And it's almost laughable when they try to inbounds the ball against pressure.

Sam runs a soft program. There's no physical, tough defense or an enforcer in the middle. Too many eyelash players, not enough gritty, tough kids like Jerk. We turn the ball over in buckets too. But, Sam also inherited a train wreck and had leftovers last year from that who caused issues. This year, he's hit on some big time recruits finally & I think he can be good if he can stop flipping the whole roster and continue to recruit well
