Wish our AD had the balls to do what needed to be done.
I’d rather our AD just not sign contracts with ridiculous buyouts. Gundys is $15mil.
Exactly, $15 million is not even close to the upwards on $40 million Stoops has. Also, Gundys is spread out over the course of his contract term, not a lump sum. UK is so hamstrung with that contract.
There are probably a lot of parallels to Gundy and Calipari (time to move on). The difference being that Kentucky was elite long before Cal ... while OSU was a lackluster before Gundy (save for a time in the 1940s).
I have no idea what happened last year and this year (considering they have Pickens to give them all the money they want), but it seems like a decision they will regret in the future.

And Gundy actually did some really good things n his 20 years there. That is a buyout that's fair to both gundy and the school. That's how it should be.
We need someone with Oklahoma connections to talk up Stoops. Maybe we get lucky and unload him like we did Calipari.
