Or we lost a key player in Atkins. Rattler was on the run a good bit after he left. I’m sure they made adjustments, but Nate Atkins in protection was what the coaches realized offensively to help this offense. He was a beast in the first half. We were obviously a different team with him on the field than without him out there.

as far as the read option, teams run it because it’s difficult. Again, missing some key guys. I don’t think it was as much of not being able to defend as it was the guys had nothing left in the tank.
