As a kid, I didn't understand why Batman couldn't resist Catwoman. I understand now.

It's almost as if the Catwoman suit she wore muted some of her better assets.

She was a guest star on many television shows of the 60s and 70s.

I always wondered why she never became a big star? That was until I saw a profile of her on one of those television shows. It seems she had a son with mental and physical handicaps and she only took jobs that allowed her to be close to home.

God love her. She was a beautiful and talented woman and an even better mother and person.

Several actresses played Batwoman. Eartha Kitt (sp?) was outstanding. A former Miss America too. Without a doubt the best of them was Julie Newmar.

She always “raised” those funny feelings a young boy was not used to. She was an incredible woman. Looks, talent, sex appeal and a voice with a purring tone that suggested so much more to any man with a pulse.

I looked at her Wikipedia page, she has a Tony Award and her catsuit is in the Smithsonian Institution. I’m visiting the Smithsonian today and I’ll try to find it.

For the Adam West Batmans, Julie Newmar was catwoman for the first two seasons. Eartha Kitt for the third season. Inbetween the first and second season they released the Batman movie which featured Lee Meriweather as catwoman.

In those Batmans, Rocky's manager, Burgess Meredith, was a good Penquin
