I’m sure manuel is involved in some way, but their strife is part of the distraction. manuel still could fire hairball, in principle, though I suppose Santa could veto it. It would be fun to see it play out.
I doubt Jimmy reports to the AD, probably his direct report is the Prez It happens lots of places including here at Marshall for a while

There's a lot going on right now with Harbaugh and staff. Lots of uncertainty. Second interview with the Broncos? He's not entirely committed to Michigan. He keeps getting drawn elsewhere.

Quote: "But Harbaugh has remained willing to listen and has told people if he were to return to the NFL, the Broncos' job is one he'd want. Though Harbaugh has not yet gone back on his stated plans to stay at his alma mater, the door remains open."

seriously, the fact that Denver is hesitating to hire this guy tells you all you need to know about that organization. Despite what you think of him as a person, the guy is an upgrade for them with the talent they have.

Not sure what in the article, or any article I've read, makes it seem like Denver is hesitating. Based on everything known about Harbaugh I don't think it would be surprising for him to make himself difficult to hire even if you decided you wanted to.
