This is an odd move. They went to a Super Bowl together, so by all means, have him on campus. But it does seem like he’s celebrating him a little much for no reason - he has no ties to the school.

This must play well to some high level recruits. In reality, those are the only people that really matter (and should really matter) to him. Get the players, to get the wins, to get the millions!

Michigan has gone full woke. No more no less than absolute ridiculous
Well they just deleted the last two fun “non sports” threads. How long does this one have?

I do get irritated at this. I can call someone every name in the book (not that I would) on a baseball thread, but be respectful in a current events thread…DELETE!

I follow other boards of other schools. Conversation IS ALLOWED.

Really, thread is at least sports-related, but I believe strongly in dedicated sports boards. I frequent another one that has a designated religion/political forum on a separate page. That type of board format is best.

No one should expect a guarantee of an open board when a site is sports-centric. But inclusion of a place for other topics is good.

There is another sports board that I frequent quite often. What I like on that board that there are different and separate forums for Football, Baseball, Basketball, GameDay and then General Topics.
It really does remove much of the clutter that we see on this board.

I am not taking a stand for or against Kaepernick, but how does it hurt the Michigan football program? According to poll taken in 2020, "52% of Americans now say it is “OK for NFL players to kneel during the national anthem to protest police killings of African Americans." Furthermore, "77% of blacks, 57% of Hispanics and 47% of whites answered positively." According to the Washington Post, "Black students constitute nearly 60% of rosters of football and basketball teams."

A lot of Harbaugh's success depends upon his ability to recruit and retain elite football players. Many of these players are black. Does Harbaugh's relationship with Kaepernick and his inclusion of Kaepernick in Michigan's spring football game festivities enhance Harbaugh's ability to attract black athletes and maintain a winning football team?

That's exactly right. That would be a great remedy here if ownership would enact it. It might even make the job of moderators easier.

You are seriously like a the kid who volunteered for hall monitor. Every thread even when titled appropriately draws you in to comment. Can I see your hall pass?

Just skip the thread for !$&@ sake.

Blow me. I'll participate in whatever threads I choose in whatever manner I choose.

People can't contain themselves.

Agreed. I am definitely one of them.

I do notice how people will complain about non sports threads, but then join them. (No one in particular, just an observation.)
