Very disappointed that we did not move on the opportunity to grab this young up and coming DC who really fits the profile of being a long-term solution to fill out Beamer's staff. Great hire by GT.
We're so inopportunistic. That's a new word I'm coining that perfectly describes us.
Makes sense to leave now. Just keeping it real: if there had been a 12 team playoff this season, Georgia would have won it. Future national championships probably means beating multiple SEC schools. And with the Big Ten adding the PAC-12 schools, even winning the conference will be more of a challenge. Here's an opportunity to go out on top.
Was hiring a DC like Santucci even on Beamer's radar?
If not, and it wasn't even considered, that is a major failure in building a staff for the future.
If the defense flops next year, look at this one as a black mark on Beamer's record.
