That was a heck of a run for about 3 weeks.
The SEC Tournament champions and on to the Final 4
The weekend of making the Final 4, Friday night and Sunday afternoon was a great time to be a Bulldog!

Loved watching D Jones!!! One of my favorite players. And I go back to the early 60s when we were really really good. Probably co have won a NC if it wasn't for the ignorant idiots that were running Mississippi.

Donte . . . what a player. That Dog basketball team was loaded.

If we had gotten by Syracuse, we would have kicked Kentucky's azz in the Final . . . just like we did in the SEC tournament.

I assure you . . . Kentucky didn't want any part of that Mississippi State basketball team.

If Doug Hartsfield were playing PG for our '96 team, we would have won the National Championship.

I remember playing USCe in football at night. Then running over to the Hump for midnight madness. The Hump was probably 90% full for midnight madness. Then many months later....

Was the run in the SECT... we were hot and you knew we would make a run in the ncaa. However I didn't guess final 4. What a surprise that 2nd weekend was. It was as fun of month as any regarding MSU sports.

I won our office pool in CA because I took our Dawgs all the way. Nobody had us getting to the final 4. Haha! I won $450 and had bragging rights which was even more valuable.

Donte Jones was amazing the last month of that season!

Unfortunately, he became one of the biggest wastes of talent post college. Dude should've been an NBA star for YEARS. How many future NBA stars did he make look like fools during that run?
