His family promised Orgeron if he could get their son qualified he would go to Ole Miss. After Orgeron put him on course and he got qualified he renigged on his promise. Then his family had the gonads to ask Orgeron to get their other son qualified and Orgeron told them to get screwed. So, if it wasn't for Orgeron Dixon would have been playing for Jones CC the past two years.

Is Ranchreb this stupid?
Anthony Dixon is from Terry. Terry is in Hinds CC's district. Dixon would have gone to hinds just like Antwan. There is no way he would have gone to Jones unless he asked for and received a release. And there is no way in hell Hinds would have done that. </font> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

What the hell is that about the release from a CC. Am I missing something, you can go to any CC you want to.

You can go anywhere you want if you are not on the protected list for your JUCO district. If you are on that list you can request a release and if granted you can attend any JUCO in the state of Mississippi. If you don't get the release, and you want to go to JUCO, you MUST attend that JUCO or go out of state. This rule has been in effect for several years now. In other words, had O not pulled all those strings and got all those lawyers involved and had someone complete the boy's freshmen courses, Powe would have had to go to Jones or go out of state to play JUCO football.

Hinds can protect so many football players from the high schools in the counties who make up their JUCO district.

Come on you dumbass Reb .. get with the program.</p>

Story is true. Well, the part about Saunders/Orgeron getting him eligible.

I have no idea which JUCO he would have ended up at.....like the poster says above, if he's not protected (they have a limit), he can go anywhere.

Jones has gotten a few Terry players in recent years. If Anthony was going to go a CC it probably would have been Hinds or Jones.

I'd heard the same story, and it's not too far fetched considering Dixon was not exactly a sure thing qualifier.

I hadn't heard about any promises being made, but I did hear that Saunders/Orgeron were the ones that laid out Dixon's plan to get eligible, and without that plan, Dixon would be making his MSU debut this coming fall.

what is this "plan" that Oregeron had to get all these guys qualified? He doesn't exactly strike me as the academic type so how is he magically getting everybody qualified?

It's the same plan that David Saunders is using in conjunction with Cellular South in trying to get players eligible.

Basically, they would figure out how many courses and what courses were needed and then try to set up a plan usually involving a decent number of correspondence courses, or even prep school as was the case with Chris Strong, and you could miraculously get guys eligible that weren't on track.

hell, it's saying we got outrecruited on a player who we took the time to help get eligible.

I don't give a **** if Croom gets every one of the dandy dozen qualified if they sign and play for us.

And it was more Saunders plan than O's. And yes, he carried it to Cellular South's new program, thus Deandre Brown will play next year.

One of the main reasons the Cellular South program was started is because they realized it was morally wrong only to help certain ones.

Some Bulldogs cuss the program saying it's for Ole Miss....yet everyone prospers from it.

Oh....and the fact that Saunders didn't have a job was a factor too I would imagine.

biggest bunch of bull and one of the most obvious streams of baiting in a while. Either that or the Rebels perpetuating this rumor are even more gullible than we could have imagined.

Well, two of the three people involved have said it's true and they didn't need help getting into school.

I guess someone here could ask Dixon to finish out the list.

You can also thank them for the kid from Ridgeland this year.....Stiggers(?)

I give Grad hell sometimes, but he does have some really good sources, so if he's saying it's true, there is probably a pretty good chance that the story is not fabricated.

That's because you speak up on too many things you don't know about. I do the same. Difference is, Grad typically doesn't throw out his thoughts on rumors unless he knows what he's talking about. Basically, he's earned his internet cred, for whatever that's worth.
