Has the SEC always been the first to do things?

They were the first to expand taking schools from another major conference, splitting into two divisions and having a Conference Championship game. Then all the other followed.

They were the first to say during Covid 19 "We are playing football". Then all others came along.

Here they go again, expanding taking two powerhouse football programs from another major conference and now the others are grabbing all they can.

The Big 10 network was launched years before the SEC network.

Sorta OT, but I wish the SEC would be the first conference to sign a conference wide uniform/shoe deal with equal distribution. The SEC probably has the easiest path with only 4 teams not being Nike/Jordan. I know our contract is up soon. Not sure on USCe, Auburn, and A&M. The NFL does league wide deals. We could do the same.
