at TE and RB positions. It appears we will be running a lot of 2 TE sets which means power blocking formation (likely). I see Spivey, Clayton, and Ellis as real power blocking TEs'. Of course they do have some ability to catch the ball in certain situations. Harmon and Goede will be more of receiver type TE's. Goede does have good size and could likely do both well. Going to be very interesting how our TE's and RB's complement each other.

Don’t have a lot of proven depth at DB and QB…. I thought we may have tried to get one more QB. Roster wise this isn’t a last place SEC West team for sure.

the DL Nate Pickering…need his motor to run every play that he is out there. He is not the force that he could be. Gonna miss Cam young, Rand Charlton and Ty wheat

I would pump the brakes at TE. The TE room has a guy who had 11 catches last year, a guy who’s never seen the field, and two guys swapping from receiver and nose tackle. And Ellis is back at OL

With Jo Marks, Keyvone Lee, and Simeon Price, I think we're gonna see a lot of running if the TE's have any blocking skills at all. I think their blocking ability is more important than their receiving at this point.

Basically Rogers can safely run the ball at times with a two tight end set. It's needed with 6.2 speed.

The db room is loaded with talent. The te room is gonna be fine with the 2 transfers. Wright is a very good back up plus Weir can handle it if necessary. Im kinda wooly if ya can't tell. Hopefully I won't get sheared down to the bone the first few weeks of the season....lol

While Wright is a good 2, I don’t know how you’ve came to the conclusion that a walkon that no one has ever seen play can handle the qb position for a SEC team. If Will goes down, this team would be lucky to make a bowl game.

let’s wait until the play a game or two before we start talking about depth at any position. We may have good depth of we may not. I just hope we have 1 or 2 TEs that can get the job done.

Considering we only lost about 6 starters from last year and added some quality replacements we are pathetic if we don't have depth. Name another SEC team that lost fewer guys than State. That has more returning starters. I think we have all the pieces. Buy yeah, I was thinking about Lovertich from last year on the QB thing.

Spivey can catch it too. Didn’t he have a td grab for Leech one spring game playing wr?

State 52- USL 7
State 31- Arizona 17

If we give up that many points in those 5 games, the entire coaching staff and administration should be fired. We are football elite!

This team does have a lot of depth across all positions and a ton of experience and leadership. I realize it's the first year of this regime but these coaches have all been coaching for years. I expect a very good year.
Most first-time head coaches inherit a crappy cabinet of players. This is a pretty good roster for a first-year coach. Plus, he knows what he has, and they know who he is.

I'd probably flip the LSU and SC games. LSU @ home is favorable for an upset. SC on the road in front of 80,000 screaming cocks can be really intimidating...... And they have arguably one of the top, if not THE top returning QB in the SEC.
