besides Weatherford our pitching is terrible. His stats are nasty though. Sounds like a first round pick to me.

</p> Probably Cohen. But who knows?

But since you're a Rebel, I'll give you a pass on MSU baseball history. But, Dudy Noble, RP Patty, Paul Gregory (actually has more SEC Championships at MSU than Polk) all had success prior to Polk. So, while Polk is a big part of our baseball program, he did not "build" it. I would say he took it to the next level, and his success is partially why we want change. Polk showed us that we could compete nationally, and we're tired of "that's baseball". Also, Pat McMahon has some success as well, although a lot of sheep would have you believe otherwise. In all honesty, Polk's second tenure has been one of the most unsuccessful periods of MSU baseball history, trumped only by Jimmy Bragan's one year debacle.

- Put some emphasis on turning it around rather than blaming the NCAA, injuries, and the "baseball gods" while getting his ego stroked on his farewell tour.
- Stop trying to sabotage our impending coaching search by doing and saying whatever it takes to get his unqualified assistant hired, including badmouthing another former player that is heavily rumored to be a frontrunner.
- Stop embarassing the school and its once proud baseball program.

We don't owe Ron Polk a thing besides the check. His name is on the stadium, he'll be well remembered for his contributions to SEC baseball. That said he is embarassing himself and the school with both our play on the field and his antics off it. I, for one, am tired of Ron Polk and am ready for the day he rides off into the sunset for good.

If he had just left at the end of last season all would be good (except Raffo would probably be the HC) but now, I'm right there with you. I've just about lost all respect for the man. God I hope Byrne makes the right choice and the new HC comes in and turns things around quickly.
