I have been sitting here crying for an hour about Polk's statements and I can only imagine how your families feel. Most of the players love and respect Coach Polk...I always have too. Please, though, don't do anything rash that might hurt you in the long run. Please listen to John Cohen and what plans he has for this team. Cohen may not have been your first choice for the job, but he is a good choice. We all asked Greg to do a national search (including Raffo) and if Raffo had the best plan, then hire him. If not, hire the person with the best plan to get this program back to where it deserves to be. We, the fans, only want what is best for our team and university. I believe Cohen wants the same thing. </div> </td> </tr> <tr class="ratingtd1"> <td><span class="actionlinks">Reply</span></td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

He should be celebrating this new era in </h4> _________________________________________________ <div class="messagebody"> the program and school he did so much for, and the achievement of a dream by one of his players. Instead he's let ego get in the way and is saying things he will someday rue. Or I hope he will, because I don't want to have to continue to be upset at him in the future.

I want to remember the Ronald G. Polk who took a good college baseball program and made it great in so many ways for so many people. I don't want to remember a bitter man who didn't get his way at the end and is trying to spoil a historic moment. Or, try to undercut the work of a young A.D. who himself had to set emotion aside and hire a coach away from his own friend and career mentor, the Kentucky A.D. That was very hard for Greg, but as he told us today "it's about what is best for Mississippi State."

That is my honest thought for the evening. </div>

Boo f'n hooo, Donna. There's nothing to cry about. Your hero left town a pathetic, bitter old man. Good riddance. As of today, Ron Cholk is dead to MSU. Farewell you zero national title, 80s were your glory years son of a *****. May Skip Bertman forever OWN your ***.
