"Research the teams, coach. KY is without a doubt the worst team in the SEC.
Look, I say we'll be OK. You don't. Just wait and see who's right
."

I'll file this little nuggett right next to "LSU has the least chance of winning the West"...I did my research, maybe you should so you dont look like such a dumbass

**edited to say**- dont forget that comment I made about their D before the game....just sayin

I'm being optimistic, I realize that. If we go 3-9 again I will eat crow and go stick some signs in Croom's yard.
I'm guessing Kentucky is doing good. Awesome. When they start beating SEC teams I'll be impressed.

Kentucky beat Lewisville 27-2 at their place...Complete and total domination....

Kentucky has been to 2 straight bowls, i think they have showed they can win in the SEC

Aren't you the guy who (like many) wants to "open it up?" Well, we did!

isnt exactly opening it up. We threw alot more because we were unable to run the ball. 91 yards on 31 carries is absolutely pathetic. We have incompetent coaching, that is the problem. Crooms is a moron. Example:

We ran the spread option in the first half for a 10 yard run by Carroll- never ran it again. Its things like that that show we are not well-coached. You would think going into the 5th year of this failed social experiment, some of you would get it by now.

this year, coach. I'll be impressed when they start beating SEC teams this year. I made no reference to program tradition, although that's hardly something Kentuck has. They lost several good players in the offseason from an already questionable returning team. Anyway screw KY, I think we will beat them, which was the point, and when we lose to them you can bump this thread. If I'm wrong, I wont really care, because if that happens I'll be looking forward to basketball season by that point anyway.

I thought we put in more than a "couple of new plays." But, that's fine.

Where I have issue is this statement: "We threw alot more because we were unable to run the ball." WHAT? Dixon had 18 carries for 91 yards! That is over 5 ypc. Stats that you mention factor in those late sacks because we were trying to throw it. We were running it fine. Last year when in the games against AU, AU, and UK (our better games...or at least games we won) Dixon had 29, 26, and 25 carries respectively.

I just don't like putting the game in our QB's hands at this point. I don't disagree that our coaching got us beat last night, I just disagree as to what the coaching problem really is at this point. We did the same crap against LSU last year and it leads to turnovers. Deja vu last night! We keep opening it up (or whatever we call that crap last night) and we'll get drilled much worse down the line against better teams.

Dixon averaged over 5 yards per carry. If he'd gotten the ball 10 more times, we'd have had a decent rushing night.

Dixon- 18 carries- 91 yards...31 of them came on one play...so that 60 yards on 17 carries, which amounts to 3 yards a carry...we couldnt run the ball on them, they loaded the box when we got in the I and went to man coverage...the sacks you mentioned were only -12 yards....91 yards on 31 carries is terrible, no matter who you play...but especially against a WAC school

throwing passes didnt beat us against LSU last year and it didnt beat us last night...our system is terrible...Defensively, we arent as good as were last year. We wont be winning any 14-10 games this year. When La Tech can line up and just run right at you in the 4th quarter, you can damn well bet everybody else will be able to. We opened it up and scored 14 in the first half, the problem is that good coaching staffs make adjustments, and we dont. We couldnt do a damn thing in the 2nd half because we were outcoached.

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Seriously. I don't even have to tell you why, because you already know it was weak.

Every RBs YPC is going to go down if you arbitrarily throw out his biggest run (not to mention that 60 yards on 17 carries would be closer to 4 yards per carry than to 3 to start with).

other than that one long run....he was getting 3 yards a carry...that not being able to run the football well...

As a team we had 91 yards on 31 carries- that is freakin terrible...i'm sorry you cant comprehend that

If we are going to take away his big run, then we must take away the small runs on the goal line when the line is stacked. Deal? Like when we are trying to run out of the endzone and everyone knows its going to him? Or the loss of 2 yards on the scoring drive inside the 15? Come on man, you're better than that crap. I know you are biased as hell but come on. And what opening it up does is lead to 9 interceptions (LSU + La Tech). If you can't see that or the fact that we could run on them all night, then I'll just quit on this because it is useless. As for them "running up the middle on us" or whatever, thank the turnovers for totally wearing out the D. Tech scored 13 points on 20 f'ing yards! Our D played well enough to win. Geez...

He's about to call you stupid, then make no attempt to defend his retarded position.
New game: every time coach says we should be more like a certain offense, take their QB, subtract any big plays, then say "well if you get rid of these plays, he's only 8-15 with a 3 YPC average."

we were running all over their ***...We were just smashing them...Dixon was a tank and they couldnt handle him...that 91 yards on 31 carries is just very misleading and while mathmatically less than 3 yards a carry, it really isnt because we were just controlling the LOS and hammering them

17'ing sheep

"We ran the spread option in the first half for a 10 yard run by Carroll- never ran it again. "

this kind of thing amazes me......we have absolutely no identity on offense.....one reason is our playbook is probably too big, not to mention, we want to run the wco, but now we want to run the spread option, but yet we really want to load up in the I and run lead draws with dixon all night...i dont get it.

Hey dude, I was having a real debate with you, and even agreed about our coaches being the issue last night. Call me a sheep or whatever, but I say grow the <17> up if you do. Look, our QB's are not capable of doing what was ask of them last night. When asked, they create turnovers which creates short field position, points, and wears our D completely down. We did not win that way last year (which I pointed out) and we won't win that way this year (La Tech). If you really watch the game or if you were there like me, you could see that Dixon was able to control the tempo. Could he rip 10 yards every time? NO, but who gives a ****! It plays to our strength. We control the clock and eventually the scoreboard. You can't see that. Fine. But don't call me a sheep because I do more than look at stats that include people who are not asked to run the football. That is just stupid. Bottom line: we run Dixon, we have a chance. We don't = LSU or La Tech.

I always heard not to argue with people dumber than you...so Coach, it won't happen again!
