"Aaron Weatherford (2-0) again sparkled in relief. Weatherford threw 2-1/3 innings, allowing only one hit and striking out four batters. The junior right-hander has not allowed a run in 20 innings pitched this season. Opponents are now hitting .063 against Weatherford, including 40 strikeouts."

a while, as it's even obvious to the most casual observer, that this guy is probably the only sec caliber pitcher on our team (right now) and a badass. i mean, if he comes in to pitch the 9th, the other team might as well just go home because it's over.

he stands a pretty good chance of being a first round draft pick. The only thing that would concern me if I was a MLB team is his history of shoulder soreness/injuries.

That may be a homeristic assessment, especially since Fields was drafted in the first round last year, but the stats back up my sheepishness. Fields will probably be a first round pick again, and I think Bittle probably is a top 5 round guy. Bittle seems to be a lot more raw than AW and Fields, and I woudn't be surprised if a team tries to make him into a starter, but at least he has experience pitching in relief if he struggles as a starting pitcher.

if he is around the zone, I think he's probably the best of the three. The South Carolina hitters were just baffled last weekend.

Fields is still the best. He struck out all five guys he faced last night at Florida, including two with the bases loaded after he entered the game with one out in the 8th. He too has a 0.00 ERA, has pitched more innings, and has faced stiffer competition outside the conference (Arizona, Florida State, Oregon State, Clemson).

I know AW was hurt and is still putting up comparable numbers, but right now Josh Fields is having as impressive of a season as anyone in the country. You could probably say the same about his teammate Gordon Beckham. The other Bulldogs are having a helluva year so far.
