Frustrating but not surprising.

As of today, even the BoT members have no idea what the $700 million will be spent on.

They have no idea of any competing quotes or competing stadium plans and options.

They have no idea on how many boxes, loge seats, chairbacks, new bathrooms or concession stands there will be.

They have no Idea what the stadium will look like when the work is completed

They literally gave away a $700 million check without knowing what they were getting in return.

How in the world is this allowed to continue?

Surprised? Come back on man. That’s the way PSU rolls. They don’t have the final concepts because they have been hell bent on just getting the stadium ready for a possible playoff game this December. Bottom line is that the fans will bear the brunt of the cost thru “game day experiences” upgrades. Heck it costs $25k a year for 4 Club seats. Imagine game day expenses in 2027? All these additional revenue opportunities that Krafty speaks to are cloudy unless they roll out a synthetic surface in the new Beav!

“How in the world is this allowed to continue?”

Did you miss 11.9/11? …and the relatively small percentage of alums who really fought against that injustice…

IMO, Anthony L's comments were very forthright and, if anything, were shaded on the "kind" side - stunning as that may seem.
(It was a very good interview IMO, no doubt about that - and if you hadn't listened to it yet, please do. It is very accurate and righteous)

Much of that was congruent with the interview I had on that show a month or so ago - which should be the case, as we were both in the same meetings for the most part - and the articles/reports I wrote over the last 1 1/2 years on the topic.

FWIW:

The costs involved in "winterizing the stadium" for a later season (playoff?) game are less than rounding error of the total expenditure. That coulda' shoulda' been something that was done out of the annual operating budget (and probably some time ago)

That was a red herring floated out there as obfuscation for the overall project - because it would obviously appeal to PSU football fans.

What I want to know is how the jackasses on the BoT figured they were responsible to pay Matt Sandusky.

What kind of twisted azz logic was employed?
