Recruiting was supposed to be Beamer's strength. I hate to say it but we will never be a recruiting powerhouse. Never have been. If South Carolina is going to become nationally relevant, our coaches are going to have to get the job done on the practice field, the strength and conditioning room, the weekly strategy room, and on the sideline during game day. Yes, let's continue recruiting as hard as we can and hope for the best..... that should go without saying. But where we can make a difference is in these other areas outside of recruiting. I'm not trying to be a "downer" on purpose. But having been a Gamecock football fan for decades, I've learned.
We appear to be ok at RB, at least for 2024. But, don’t forget, the RB and QB positions both have looked crazy deep within the past couple of seasons. Things can change quickly. It’s a miss, no doubt. The rich get richer.

I hope Shane can get the job done. I'm pulling for him. But, if he fails, let's remember that "recruiting" was also supposed to be Muschamp's strength, as well as Beamer's. If Shane can't get the job done, let's remember times like today when we struck out on a needed "blue chipper", that hiring a supposed super duper recruiter is not necessarily the way to go for us.

I don't think he signed. He missed the early signing period and committed last week. So definitely hasn't signed his NLI to Bama.
247 has him listed as an enrollee. My guess is he sent the paperwork into Bama on time, and just announced it at the AA game. He would have to transfer.
I didn’t know he was enrolled. I thought he was just a signee and didn’t make it on campus yet. I still don’t believe he leaves until next year
