Make a hard run at Corbin or Vitello. Build them a coaching suite if you must.

He'll be 63 this year. Not sure that makes a lot of sense as a first time college HC.
I guess someone should have told Nick Saban to step down 9 years ago when he turned 63. Each person is different, it's all about personal energy so interview the man. You usually can tell if he still has it or not.

So this guy has Saban's record of success coaching D-1 sports? Or is the comparison based merely on age? Maybe consider D-1 head coaches with coaching success. We're not the top baseball school in the country but we're among the top 20 or so which means we can get a good, proven coach.

What's he doing NOW? We need someone to Henderson the rest of this season while a real search goes on. And bring a hitting coach with them. Pitching coach could stay for a while.
