Nope. Down 2-1. Having trouble controlling the puck and passing to teammates
52 shots on goal in only two periods. Wow.Nope. Down 2-1. Having trouble controlling the puck and passing to teammates
That is the love and hate of Hockey. Somewhere in there is the need for "puck luck". 100 shots combined in two periods is incredible. So far both goalies/ defense deserve some love.I still don’t understand why we aren’t better. Great facilities and Guy‘s been at this a while. What is the problem?

Got it. PSU is there. Like you stated everything is there for Penn State hockey to succeed. I don't know the specifics about this season. Still a dangerous hockey team any game! Some of the most "stacked" Minnesota teams have had non productive teams. Not watching, but listening. Sounds like one great game!My point is that minnesota is ranked #5 and PSU is unranked. Guy has been at PSU for years and PSU has first-rate facilities. Why isn’t PSU better? Where is the talent? Is it coaching?
Until Sandy’s gone I don’t see him getting fired. (Frankly, I don’t follow them closely enough to know if he even should be fired).Sadly getting closer to Bye Bye Guy time. Goalie is going to be a position of significant weakness next year unless he gets a portal goalie. He should get 2 more seasons to get program back to where it needs to be or him.
Penn State in terms of tenure is still a pretty new program. Recruiting in the NE against many longer established programs. Most of the BIG teams are long time powers. PSU is still not recruiting at the level of a Minny, Mich, Wisky, etc. I think they do better than expected based on talent.Until Sandy’s gone I don’t see him getting fired. What do people think are the main issues with the team? Coaching? Recruiting? Trying to get kids from the northeast to join a team and league that’s centered in the Midwest? Not having the pedigree of other hockey schools in the northeast? Or just some bad luck and an off year or two?
