The "racist" accusation gets thrown around so casually these days, it's almost become white noise (no pun intended). But this is some hardcore racist stuff. Posting a video of yourself online threatening a lynching? Yikes. Since he actually shows the girl driving the car in his video, I wonder if she has any legal recourse to sue on the basis of civil rights?
Safe to say, whatever connections or ties he had to anyone in college football, those are vaporized now.

Seems he's met a lot of guys in college football. Also photos online of him with Kirby and Nick. Coaches take thousands of photos like this with people they don't know.
It's just an odd, odd thing to do when your bread and butter is coaching athletes, a significant percentage of which are African Americans.
I expect any coach for whom such a photo exists will issue a standard statement denying any relationship with Taylor and decrying his awful racist words.

Based on the context of the video, I'd agree that whatever it means, it's not good.
But why video and post this on yourself, I mean, it's just beyond stupidity, and self induced financial ruin.

That was my thought for the first few seconds of the video...something about it almost seemed like a really poor attempt at a joke or maybe satire. But it quickly became apparent that it was no joke.
It doesn't matter, but I'd love to hear from the guy what he was thinking. I mean, this is just beyond stupid. It isn't some leak from a slip-up you had 30 years ago. HE shared the video calling for hunting and lynching black people. He's ruined professionally. I can't imagine he could get a job cleaning toilets in Warner Robins. On top of that, he lives in Warner Robins which is 40% African American. How can you ever even bring yourself to go out in public again?

The only explanation is he was paid enough money to "retire" by someone wanting a very racist and divisive video they could "leak" and use to stir up more racial divide in Georgia - possibly politically motivated considering the political climate in the state. Otherwise, he has lost his mind!

Great question, could be, their relationship is non existent, just a typical publicity pic, one of many, Dabo does all the time with his fans.
Or maybe they have a deeper working relationship, more then acquaintances? The guy is in different Clemson gear in a multitude of different pics all over the internet.
Hopefully our veteran in state media, such as that reporter that confused Todd Ellis radio comments and attributed them to coach Steve Spurrier in a question to Dabo before or better yet maybe Phil Kornblut can put together some questions for Coach Swinney, and get to the bottom of your question and get us some some answers.

I'm not from the Boston area, and grew up here in the south.
He's got similar pics with Saban and Smart though. Every college coach has associations with these kinds of guys.
This guy also had some pictures with Saban, and Kirby Smart. That doesn't necessarily mean there was any type of relationship. Most likely just one of hundreds of pictures taken with "fans".

Agreed. The photo posted here isnt just a random fan photo. They are all in cLemson gear inside the Moo U practice facility. Not the kind of access a normal fan gets. And he has more photos posted online in cLemson gear.

As someone who lives in the state of Georgia, I can tell you the political climate is not very different from the rest of the country, so I'm not exactly sure what you're driving at.
I think your last sentence is the most accurate description.
It happens all the time. If a coach is a recruiting a player, sure, you'll let his personal coach come hang out at the practice facility and give him a hat and a shirt.
