Just talked to my source again. He was at the McDonald's All-American game and said he was not impressed with Hopson. Good but not as great as he thinks he is. Says he is an ATTITUDE problem. He is going to a AAU tournament in Red Stick this week-end and will let me know what else he is hearing. Like I said pretty good source of basketball info.

it is ole blue. He has told me the same thing several times in the last couple of weeks. He said hopson called patino multiple times asking for a visit. He seems to know something, but I think he also told me he was UT bound.
I will laugh like hell at the ride he took the other coaches on, all the time having a wink-wink deal with Stans.

This reeks of ********. Hopson is in the top 10 or 15 prospects in the country no matter what recruiting service you look at. Why would he have to call Patino multiple times and beg for a visit? I could see having to call once b/c a coach (Patino in this case) thinks you are off the market or not at all interested in his school, but I can't imagine a coach having to be asked twice to schedule a visit with such a high profile recruit.
I will be the first to admit that I don't know all the ins & outs of recruiting, but this story doesn't pass the smell test.
ole blue told me a while back that hopson was heading to UT from what he had heard in Kentucky. Just last week, he told me that Pitino was interested and hopson called Patino 3 times while he was at the McDs game. Either wanting to know if there was still an interest or still an offer. But mamma Jannette say that he was visiting KY, UT, and Cincy.
I saw it on tv. He loafed back up the court if the ball wasn't thrown to him or if he wasn't involved in the offensive 'play'. I do want him just because he's supposedly very gifted, but Stans won't put up with that kind of ****. I have a feeling if he does come to Starkville, it will only be for one year, regardless if he has the chance to go pro or not.</p>

We are the only school he has visted. If he was going to all these other places, don't you think he would have taken a visit.....just saying.
