I had left hip replacement surgery on Monday. (am doing great, btw). Today, Saturday, Mrs. Fac goes to a local garden shop to buy some flowers.
She gets to the check out line and the female clerk asks her how her leg is? Mrs. Fac says what? The clerks asks how is your leg, I feel that you have pain shooting up and down your leg. She state that she is a medium. Mrs. Fac says that she is fine but my husband just had hip replacement surgery.

Also, if I was there and she said she was a medium I would have told her I was an Xtra-Large. Pretty strange story though.

Maybe you had hip surgery instead of your wife by mistake. It happens.

Glad you’re doing well.

Do you live in a small town where everyone knows each other and talks?
Not really. I live 22 miles west of New Orleans in Destrehan and she went to a garden center in Metairie, probably 18 miles towards N.O.. Metairie has a large population.

Ddi Fac count his number of toes and fingers after surgery...and testicles?
All accounted for Step. Thanks for reminding me. So New right hip in 2015, new right knee in 2020 & new left hip in 2022.
I'm being told genetics plays a big part in these replacements.
Jumped off plenty of roofs, swings and out of trees when I was a kid. Hmmmmm?

Definitely a weird moment. Glad to hear your recovery is going well.

My mom’s in her mid-70s and has had a hip replacement and two recent knee replacements. All have gone smoothly, thankfully. I think for her, it was a combination of genetics and wear & tear. Her dad spent his later years in a wheelchair due to severe arthritis. But also, she danced in the Rockettes back in the 60s. All those high kicks certainly must have taken a toll.
