I had a discussion with a guy at work about not making the Conference Touney in baseball and still making a regional. He is a State guy but he made the state that if you can't make you conference tourney you should not be able to go to a regional. I disagree with him. I said that the conference determines the rules on how many team and what qualifications it takes. Plus not making the SEC conference is not the same as missing the Sun Belt conference. Heck I am still under the belief that both Ole Miss and LSU should have been in a region and I also belive that LSU would have made some noice. I have heard this from many people. I don't understand their rational.
