1. Rat-ler
or
2. Rattle-r

I’ve heard him say it that way. I think it is just a brain fart like we all have sometimes. #1 it is.I just watched an interview with Beamer where he pronounced it as #2, which caught me off guard. I guess he usually just refers to him as Spencer, so I haven't heard him say his last name much.
We could just call him "Snake"!Listening to some different interviews and game clips, I noticed there's basically 2 variations on the pronunciation of his last name:

Hoping it is pronounced Heisman
"Ratt-luh"....but he'd probably just call him "Spence"....I wonder how SOS would pronounce it? Remember how he pronounced Pharoh Cooper. FAY-row.

There is no “e” between the “t” and the “l”, so # 1.Listening to some different interviews and game clips, I noticed there's basically 2 variations on the pronunciation of his last name:

Tony Dorset also changed the pronunciation of his name from college to the NFL. It was pronounced DOR-sett, and then he announced it would now become dorSETTE.Speaking of, is there a crazier story than Joe Theisman, who changed the pronunciation of his name senior year at ND from Thees-man to make it rhyme with the trophy so he’d have a better chance to win it?
