They last made the SECCG in 2006(one of two appearances total) which is also our last semifinal appearance, quarterfinals 2019(due to a top 4 seed bye) our last time winning our way into the quarterfinals was in 2015, not to mention we are horrible as a higher seed in this tournament(which we are tonight).

I hear you emotionally, but you know that unless something truly egregious happens (and losing by 20 does not qualify), Frank & Ray will meet for their end of season review (not unlike Ray does with all head coaches in all varsity sports of both genders) and then Frank would be relieved of his current duties. If it happens.

I'd like to see us play in the NIT if for no other reason than an opportunity to get matched up against our old ACC rivals from long ago, e.g., Wake Forest (whom we've faced only once on the court since our ACC departure - the 1983 NIT), Virginia, etc.

Nothing to brag about, knowing our history in this tournament, could see this one coming a mile away.

But here's another one for ya: watch Mississippi St. now that they vanquished us either:

A) Go on a run in this tournament(got sick of Auburn very quickly in 2019, Arkansas in 2018 got on my nerves on their way to the semis).
Or
B) go down fighting to bitter end vs Tennessee tomorrow night, really making the Vols sweat it out(2018 Arkansas in semis vs Vols, 2021 Ole Miss(vs LSU) in quarterfinals).

This is another trend our conquerors in this tournament seem to show.

Although playing Wake Forest in the postseason would be interesting, they are similar to us in that they have not made a run in their conference tournament in a long time (2006 ACC semis, 1996 Championship), they are horrible as a higher seed in the postseason, and when they lose in the postseason its usually a role player no one's talking about that does them in.
