how many players do you think PSU will take in the 2023 class?

it appears we are at 85 now, so the 2022 season is set with no more transfers in. We seem to be a young team, so not sure how many are leaving after the season.

Isn’t the real question, “How many will they take and then lose?”

yes the # we lose is the key - grads, early exit to NFL and transfers. the transfer # is the real wild card. there were a few positions where I thought we would lose at least one player to transfer after spring, but nobody exited. at some point the staff needs to determine when they can no longer accept anymore scholarship players. not clear how they would handle this, but if they got 13 more verbals from players they really liked, would they accept them? If so, they would have to assume enough players would leave to make room back to 85.

I was never really into recruiting, especially often meaningless verbals from high-school kids. Now with no one reining in NIL and the portal, I figure the majority of kids who sign on with PSU will be gone in two years or less. It’s hard for me to give a sh|t. If we can field a team against pu in September, that will be a positive, maybe. Then let’s see about Game 2.
