How many State fans would pay for a 3 or 4 day trip to Ireland for a college football game?

I mean.. I’d do it. I’d be a hero to my wife by giving her a trip she wants to go on while getting something neat for myself.

Plus, Ireland is one of the few places on Earth I would actually like to go someday.

I’m a State fan that would love to go to Ireland. If I just happened to be over there while State was playing a game there, I wouldn’t go if you gave me free tickets.

Way better things I’d try to spend my time on over there than trying to become intercontinentally disappointed in our football program.

I’ve been there and loved it but wanted to explore more. Would 100% go as long as my kids are 5+ at the time

I'd say between 2500 and 5000. I would go provided my health was doing well. I have several relatives who live in Manchester, England who I could go visit. And me being a Scottish-American, I would certainly spend a few days in my ancestral country. It needs to be the first game of the season. Gets pretty chilly quickly in the fall there. Much colder than Mississippi climate.

I want to go to Ireland one day very badly so I’d go, but I’d work it into a larger trip.

Ireland and Scotland are very beautiful and scenic places. England is so damn dense with population, it sort of makes it difficult. However, how could one go to that area of the world and not visit historic London.

I’m in the extreme minority but if announced, I’d be more pumped for that than about any other possibility. Would def have to go to check in with about 15% of my bloodline for the first time.

I would go to the game, but right after that I would find a pub with Irish musicians playing the traditional music and there I would stay til the ran me out.

Well, I am going to Ireland in 2026. But no football, I can't wait to see the culture and history. Not to brag but we are leaving Tuesday to do a 4-day land and 7-day cruise in Alaska. No football for the next two weeks. No sense in traveling and being pissed about a football game, LOL!

I noticed it was a lot bigger than teams fans there. I don’t figure that it’s that many fans from in country that would attend.

I was in Ireland the week of that football game in ‘16.

There were Georgia Tech & Boston College banners in Dublin, and there were a couple Tech fans who were on the same Skellig Michael excursion with me.

The Flight was very inexpensive out of Jackson. Hotels were cheap as well but that’s changed in the past several years.
