Ive been told you cant replace a DC because of “continuity” and its not about the “buyout money”. In other words its about the “buyout money”.

Yep. Signing Hutzler to that contract should be a fireable offense. The level of stupidity is just unbelievable.
If yall seriously think we had no talent, then you should be alright with retaining Hustler.
The issue goes back to the beginning…..we made bad hires in Salmon and Lenny. Hustler is a small issue to the big picture and so many simply…..dont…..get it.

Keeping him will end up costing us way more than the expense to remove him, so we will probably keep him.

It's going to be really interesting seeing what they do over the next month or two. I could see a scenario where our best young players bail on us and we can't replace them. Then next year we are the Mississippi juco all stars....lol.

Yes, this program has more problems than its inept defensive coordinator, but that's one of the easier things to fix. Fire him, eat the contract, and move on.

It’s been 24 hours since the game and also there’s some recruits visiting this weekend on campus. Firing him (and we assume some of the defensive staff) right this second isn’t the smartest thing to do. So let’s stop acting like whiney 14 year olds looking for instant gratification and let this play out.

I don't think it's about money. We don't even have to pay for a OC. We got money to fire. I think it's about a HC who will not fire a friend.
My thoughts are it's more about it will be the fourth DC in 4 years if we replace him. And no doubt part of it is who do you think we can get ? I highly doubt Hutzler was the first guy Lebby called last year. Maybe we should just make a rule to fire the whole staff if they lose 7 or more games ? Just sign them to one year contracts ? Keep firing them until we find one that can win. That's probly the best plan
