Gonna have to get him a budda statue, a live chicken, rabbits foot, big box of Lucky Charms, something.

The slump has made it deep in his head.
If he keeps taking it to the big dudes and getting his $h!+ shoved back in his face, …….

Even in a slump, opposing teams have to account for him, which benefits the other four guys on the court. And if they don’t account for him, he will make the pay.

One thing I've noticed is we've run a lot less 3's off the screen for him this year. That seemed to be one of his go to shots last year.

I keep hearing people say "he's not a point guard", but at some point if he wants any chance to play professionally after MSU, he's probably going to have to learn how. There aren't a lot of 5-11 shooting guards in the the NBA. I get that it's easier said than done, but why not push him to actually learn how to be a point guard?

I’ve thought about this too. What are the gaps to fill to get there? Being a lights out shooter when open is one. And fixing those free throws. Become a more dynamic penetrator and distributor. Develop the floater game.

He’s gonna continually get burned on D by bigger athletic guards.

He's being really closely guarded by taller opposing players; just really having to work hard to get an open look. We REALLY need a point guard in the worst way.
Agreed, but Cam is NOT a point guard. Or a ”point forward” or whatever we try to call him to make an excuse for him handling the ball and “running the offense“.

People keep calling this a slump. He isn't in a slump. He just can't get open looks as frequently as he did in the past. Because of...

1. increased defensive focus by opponents
2. He is having to handl some of the pg duties.
3. he is to short.

Tough when you realize for the first time in your life there's a better shooter on the team than you.

He'll be fine, more than fine. Much ado about nothing

Ssomeone said they only see 3 wins, that was our third win. Don't need Hubbard for the rest of the season since they all losses.

HUB-doesn't move well without the ball. he just stands in one spot to long. When he shoots he is trying to draw a foul. quit that -put up a nice squared up shot.

Last thing I worry about is Hubbard. He will figure it out. He’s too good.
I'm a bit concerned. He was a 35% 3-point shooter last year, and he's a 35% 3-point shooter this year. And he's sub 40% overall both years. With his size, he has to be a better shooter than that.

That's what the offseason is for. This is our best shot to make the Sweet 16 in two decades, I for one don't want him learning on the job right now.

Best case scenario is Clary back at point and let Hubb shoot his shots.
