Kentucky did everything humanly possible to lose that game! Hilarious prevent win defense they played to give the game away. Why do coaches never learn?

The only thing I can think of is that the coaches just don’t trust their players. There are clearly some morons out there, so I get it. But that game was lost on soft defense on 3rd and 18.
....an example that a lot of coaches don't watch film. They just follow a formula. What Clemson receiver has beaten a defensive back deep this year. I haven't seen it, and I have watched every Clemson game this year.

I agree that it has to be formula based, but there is a ton of evidence that shows the prevent defense doesn't work, yet they continue to do it! Just amazes me! The UK defense had them contained the entire game and just let them off the hook with that soft zone crap. Truly amazing!
The prevent probably works if Clemson got the ball back with about 1:15 on the clock. But with about 2 minutes and 3 timeouts, running the prevent pretty much guarantees that the game is going to end with Clemson in the red zone. I just don't get it. I'd rather end the game on the Clemson side of the 50 yard line.
You would think a plan that includes hoping the other team screws up wouldn't be as popular as it is. Must be an analytics thing. If so, they got what they deserved.
That is even more remarkable in my opinion. To turn the ball over 3 times in a row on your own side of the field and still have a chance to win at the end with just a little defense is incredible!
I cut the game off when Ky was up 21-16. Just found the score and I was stunned. Then saw where Wildcats turned it over at least 3 times to give Clemson somewhat easy scores. What a bummer!
Can we all make a pact NOT to buy into the UK hype this year?? You know it’s coming. I just don’t want to see any “I’m worried about UK…Stoops is a great HC…they’re very well coached”. No, they’re not. They’re not good. They’re not going to be good in 2024.
