I have never seen an athlete catch hell like LeBron has for losing in the Finals. I think much of it is deserved and self inflicted but you can't turn on ESPN or sports talk radio and not hear about it.
It seems like he barely has any fans outside of Miami. He or his publicistreally need to take a look in the mirror and figure out why so many hate his guts right now.

Lebron James, the image, generates website traffic and keeps the average joe's attention a little longer when flipping channels.

It's the same as when Tiger was dominating golf. If he was doing well, the focus was on him. During the rare occasion when he was doing poorly, the focus was on "what's wrong with Tiger?". Who cares about the guy winning the U.S Open? Tiger is losing! Same thing here. The Mavs be damned, Lebron lost by God! Americans care more about the happenings of the icons of sports than the sport itself.

When you predict "not one, not two, not three... not seven" championships, and then you disappear in the 4th quarter of the Finals (18 4th-quarter points in 6 games), the hell you catch is self-inflicted.

ESPN in large part is to blame for creating the Lebron-monster following "the decision" (which was a collaboration between his agent and ESPN). Now, after amping up their hype all NBA season, they've somehow decided that the public really can't stand Lebron now, and is jumping on the "boy, does this ego-maniac suck, or what?!" bandwagon.
So now the king-makers themselves are outside the castle with pitchforks and torches (which really has to suck. Not for Lebron-he can't hear everybody laying in his bed made out of money- as much as the team that actually won the championship).

This is all self inflicted. He does not need a publicist to figure this one out. If he does, I will quit my job today and do for $1M a year and do a better job.

His problem is he has his group of boys that handle everything for him. The clingers aren't going to tell him he is wrong about anything which is obvious when you agree to a one hour espn show about which team you are going to play for.

If he just goes to Miami, without all of the hype, and ********, he would not be in this situation.
But no, he has to STOP the WORLD to announce his decision.
He had his say, now he has to wait for about 200 Million Americans to have their say. It's only fair.

He is immature, and spoiled, and because he is gifted and plays sports, he has never been told no.

Finally did not get his way, and chocked in the process.

Wondered aloud if Lebron is more concerned with being liked than being a champion. Made the point with Stacey King about MJ didn't give a crap who like him or didn't. He would kill an ant with a sledgehammer. Most competitive guy ever.

Lebron doesn't get upset on the court, or at his teammates, etc.
