That's because your mind became conditioned to Ed Orgeron. It numbed your senses. You'll start back caring once MSU & OM become competitive.OMlawdog said:It affects you almost three days later?
At the end of the day, do you really care that much about it? How is your life different today if MSU had won?
Maybe Im in the minority, but I have gotten to the point that if Ole Miss loses or wins, it doesn't affect my life one way or the other. Sure during the 3 hours the game is on, I want Ole Miss to win and I also want MSU to lose, but after the game is over what is really different in your life?
It could just be im becoming more distracted by other things in my life, I remember being 25 and being pissed at the world we had lost to MSU in 2001, it pissed me off through Christmas, now last year I was able to eat Thanksgiving lunch without it bothering me at all.
Am I the only one this is happening to?
No. It's called growing up. I was over this by the time I got back to my car. I still don't like it, but I don't care nearly as much now as I used to.OMlawdog said:It affects you almost three days later?

No, you don't care, because you actually get to watch real football at Auburn.DawgatAuburn said:No. It's called growing up. I was over this by the time I got back to my car. I still don't like it, but I don't care nearly as much now as I used to.OMlawdog said:It affects you almost three days later?

That does take a little of the sting away, I will admit. LSU-Auburn is Sept. 20. I could sell my tickets today and have enough money to take the wife to Atlanta for that weekend, stay at a five star hotel in Buckhead and eat at the nicest places in town and catch the Ga Tech game. But if I did that, she would kill me because she is ready for the game.muddawgs33 said:No, you don't care, because you actually get to watch real football at Auburn.
I didn't see anyone in this thread threaten to jump off of a building. Some posters are pissed, and rightfully so, but nobody said it was life changing.Stormrider81 said:When you are in college and shortly after it matters. Later on, you realize it's just a game. I was disappointed, mostly because we would have won by 2-3 TDs minus the dumb mistakes, but it didn't change anything in my life. I really wasn't upset when they took the lead, just disappointed. There are a lot more important things in life than football and a person is much happier when he/she figures that out, particularly if that person is a State fan.
I'll be at the Ga. Tech game, but If I had tickets to the Lsu-Auburn game, I wouldn't even think twice about going to Gs. Tech.
