I just learned that Joe Walsh is only in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles- not for his work in the James Gang, and not as a solo artist

yet fuking Duran Duran is in? WTF?

I'd burn Cleveland to the ground if I thought anyone would notice

This year was horrendous.

Lionel Ritchie - was in the Commodores, but his solo music SUCKS ***; it's not rock at all

Dolly Parton - totally ridiculous, she should not be in and she said so herself

Carly Simon - she has no business being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

All three of these are insults to good rock bands like Rage and MC5. The morons from cleveland should be ashamed of themselves.

That said I don't care.

In due time every band will get in. It's not a R&R HOF in my eyes.
It's a music HOF, I guess.

As long as WAR is not in the rock and roll HOF then it has zero credibility for me. Duran Duran, give me a break.

This song right here is better and more important than every song ever recorded by the 3 additions I mentioned above:

I looked at that album cover as much as any album cover ever. For some reason, it appealed to me and struck a cord with me. Whether it be the urban depiction and looking to see the nature of interactions depicted or just the drawing, I sat there gazing at it for hours. I still listen to WAR frequently. The World is a Ghetto is sheer brilliance. As good as The World is a Ghetto is, Slippin into Darkness is even better if that’s possible.

I went to the dentist this morning for a cleaning, and “All Night Long” played while I was in the chair.
