if you think we can come close to beating Vandy, you obviously don't know football. Vandy was the underdog to a school similiar to La. Tech and beat them down. We can't hold Vanderbilts jocks. From what I have seen so far, we will know about Ky. later today, we can't compete in the SEC this year and next week is our best chance at a 1-11 season.
Even with our turnovers, we should have won the game. We had enough offense to have done it, we have no defense, PERIOD. And it is because we cannot disrupt in the backfield with our d-line. If the defense doesn't get corrected we will not win more than 2 games.
The special teams miscues can be corrected and I suspect they will be. However, there is no reason to have a true freshman returning the ball in his first college game.
Punting can be corrected with a new punter, but I don't know if it will be or not. But if I had to wager on it, I would say he has punted in his last game unless the other punter is still hurt.
