I don’t think you can ask them to keep playing

And the most important thing is Hamlin’s health and that his teammates know he is okay.

However there are a TON of implications for this game. Playoff seeding, home field advantage, fantasy, etc.

They aren’t going to cancel the whole season. So how do they handle this? Replay the game? Call it a tie? Very tricky situation. Not sure what I would do.

Shut it down. They can reschedule or cancel. It's not that important tonight.
Agreed they can’t ask them to play tonight. But, you can’t reschedule this game. There’s one week left and then the playoffs, and the results will determine a ton. So my question is, how do you handle it?

This is the correct analysis. The nfl is in control of its entire universe. There isn't any urgency to settle this tonight. Postpone the game for the night and make a solid, informed decision tomorrow.

It’s insane they haven’t called the game already. Playoffs are pretty minor considering what just happened.

Reschedule. Play later. Push everything back. Surely the complications are worth a man’s life.

The fact they haven't been able to make a decision at this point says a lot about the NFL. You have to have a plan in place for something like this... You can bet they want more than anything to get this game started up again while still trying to convince us that player safety matters.

Plan or not, the fact this game hasn’t already been called says a lot about the NFL.

Not a tie. No contest. 2 teams will just be 1 game short. Seedings would be based on winning percentage.
Seems like the most logical thing to do. Too late in the season to make the game up. And it’s too important to call it a tie. These teams will make up 2 of the top 3 seeds in the AFC.

Rescheduling this game would be difficult if not impossible. They could call it a No Contest and base the playoff seeding on win pct.

Or, they are slow rolling the reporting it to the media because the media isn't important

Not to mention, that if it is the worst case scenario, who thinks the Bills’ players are going to be ready to play in a week? I mean how long can you put things on hold?

Agreed. A tie potentially penalizes both teams. Can’t really do that for a game that gets called in the 1st quarter.
