Call the bowl game. It won't be like the current offensive staff have worked with many of the players we'll be starting.
Obviously tongue in cheek. In reference to the number of starters and new people who will have to play due to portal and nil and pre-draft prep. You cannot be serious?!
Not to mention if they didn’t score many points, the same people that were so livid over his hiring would feel validated, and be non-stop bashing him for at least the next 8 monthsHe wouldn't have time to install his offense which means he'd have to learn our current offense. It just isn't plausible.
That would be stupid.Call the bowl game. It won't be like the current offensive staff have worked with many of the players we'll be starting.

They are going to do that anywayNot to mention if they didn’t score many points, the same people that were so livid over his hiring would feel validated, and be non-stop bashing him for at least the next 8 months
That is exactly what I am expecting. He could sit up in the booth next to whoever is calling down the plays. He could say to Kitchens or whomever, "Hey, have you got some kind of a slip screen you could throw in right here?. Whaddya say?" We wouldn't want to do that.
He has a year's worth of tape, though the personnel has and will change some.I do think it is advantageous for Loggains to see the team play. The group that takes the field on offense will be his guys next year (I hope).
He doesn't know their playbook, they don't know his. We'd be lucky to score.
Yeah that picking from 3 plays thing is a tricky mess.He wouldn't have time to install his offense which means he'd have to learn our current offense. It just isn't plausible.
It is usually the custom for the new hire to "observe" the team up in the booth during these situations. It would seem that having the "new guy" suggesting plays may come off as encroaching responsibilities. He could sit up in the booth next to whoever is calling down the plays. Probably best to just take notes on the talent he will be inheriting.
If it was me, I would just sit back. At this point it's only a matter of hours till the transition happens, no sense in making a uncomfortable situation worse. Now if I'm asked for advice that would be another matter.I would be curious how much interaction is involved in "observing".

Fully understand reasoning for him not calling plays but, have to believe he's been asked to preview ND's defensive film & offer input on offensive scheme.
